Mark Allen Bryant
Mark A. Bryant, 57, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2016. Mark was at home with his family.
He was born January 2, 1959; the son of Irmadene (Garrison) & Charles E. Bryant.
Mark was a Senior Sales Representative for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for 25 years and was inducted into the NFIB Hall of Fame in 1999. Mark’s passion for the NFIB was reflected in the numerous friendships established with his members and colleagues within the NFIB circle. It was common practice for his members to refer to Mark as their ‘NFIB guy’.
Mark was a 1977 graduate of Blue River Valley High School and attended DePauw and Ball State Universities. Professionally, Mark was a member of The Muncie Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International) for 13 years. He was also the Co-founder and President of the Dave Duerson Athletic Safety Fund, Inc. Mark actively volunteered and participated in a number local and community charitable organizations, such as Secret Families, Delta Little League, Lady Eagle athletics, and Metro League Football.
Mark enjoyed traveling, gardening, mushroom hunting and spending time outdoors. He was an avid sports fanatic, sports memorabilia collector and was widely known as Eaton’s very own Clark Griswold with his Christmas light magic. Mark’s greatest legacy and passion was his family.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Cindy, daughters, Andrea (Adam) Featherston , Megan Bryant, and three grandchildren: Carson, Ava, Adalynn (aka “Rosie”). He is also survived by a sister Carla R. Bryant, Mother-in-Law Shirley Taylor, Uncle Stephen (Barbara) Stafford, Brother-in-law David Taylor and long-time family friend, Joyce Rhoades.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home .In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials, in his memory, be made to Secret Families, Dave Duerson Athletic Safety Fund or Women’s Center of Northwest Indiana.
