Virginia Mae "Jinny"  Poland (Davis)
Virginia Mae Poland, 84 of Dunkirk, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 6th, 2016 at Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October4th, 1932 in Muncie, IN and was the daughter of the late John W. Davis, Sr. & Matilda C. Davis (Reed).
Virginia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel, play games, being on the farm, long walks on the beach and creating everlasting memories with her family. Virginia was a faithful member of the Eaton Church of God.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Donald J. Poland of Dunkirk; her son Douglas J. Poland (Robin) of Muncie and her daughter Deborah L. Osborn (Vic) of Avon; four grandchildren Holly Clark (Brandon) of Avon, Trevor Osborn (Kelly) of Whitestown, Shelby Niccum (Josh) of Muncie, and Devon Poland (Kara) of Muncie; seven great-grandchildren Emma, Sophia, Ava, Chase, Grady, Xander, and Frankie; a brother Walter Davis of Bradenton, FL and a sister Darlene Delk (David) of Muncie; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step-mother Wilma Davis; two brothers John, Jr. and Earl Davis; two sisters Kathryn Retz and Rosemary Brown.
Funeral Services for Virginia will be held Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eaton Church of God, 700 East Harris Street, Eaton, IN 47338, with Rev. Ken Mishler officiating. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, with envelopes provided at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
