Jacqueline L. Amburn (Lutes)
Jacqueline L. Amburn, 87 of Muncie, passed away late Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016 at Westminster Village. She was born September 28, 1929 in Fixer, KY and was the daughter of the late Roy & Pearl (Lawson) Lutes.
Jacqueline was a 1948 graduate of Muncie Central High School. She worked for many years as office manager and assistant to Dr. Howard Hill from 1948- 1960 and Dr. Donald Tharp from 1960-1993. Jacqueline was active in helping her daughter with Meals on Wheels deliveries. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jacqueline was an avid Pacers fan and she loved to travel. She was a member of The Oder of the Eastern Star and St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
Jacqueline is survived by her three children, Roy L. Amburn (Yvonne) of Cincinnati, OH, Terri Fisher (Bill) of Muncie, and Suzanne Miller (Kip) of Bridgman, MI; five grandchildren, Jama Haggard (Ryan) of Cincinnati, OH, Kari Miller (Chris) of Louisville, KY, Nina Matonich (Matt) of Colorado, Max Miller of Bridgman, MI, and Matt Fisher of Muncie; four great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Max G. Amburn and two sisters Norma Hunter and Joyce Shropshire.
Funeral Services for Jacqueline will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
