Obituary for
Conda Otto Whited
Conda Otto Whited, age 87, left this life August 12, 2017 at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born in 1929 to parents Jake and Mary Jane Whited in Manson, Tennessee. He and his wife, Maudie, were married for 55 years before her passing in 2007. Otto served his country as a Sergeant in the Army and later worked at Goodyear and Chevrolet. He was a member of the UAW and Avondale Sympathy Club.
Otto was an avid gardener, an original recycler and conservationist, and loved the solitude of the woods and mountains. He also had an interest in all things electronic, repairing televisions and studying broadcasting systems.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Edna Cooper, Lillie Law, Roselle Whited, Reecie Whited, and brothers Willie, James, Tollie, and Odell Whited.
He is survived by daughters Sheila Piazza (husband Doug), Connie Whited Laughlin, three grandchildren Tony Piazza (wife Elizabeth), Jake Piazza (fiancee Alyse Markencek), Kate Goth (husband Andy), five great-grand children, sisters in-law Zora Everett and Carol Patton, brother in-law Paul King, sister Barb Crump, brother Ward Whited, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would would like to thank his care givers, and two very special friends, Debbie Schink and Martha Funk.
